Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has announced the initiation of a N500 million soft loan scheme aimed at supporting artisans and traders across the state.
This initiative, named “Oko’wo Irinse Dapo,” is set to be rolled out within the next 30 days, following the finalization of disbursement details.
In a statement released on his official Facebook account, Governor Abiodun highlighted the critical role that traders and artisans play in the state’s economic development.
He emphasized his administration’s commitment to supporting these groups as integral partners in the “Building Our Future Together” agenda.
Additionally, the government is distributing grants and subventions to over 200 community development associations and various development committees throughout the state.
This effort is part of a larger initiative to empower the youth through the forthcoming Ogun Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Scheme (OG-YES), which will provide additional loans and grants.
Governor Abiodun also expressed his gratitude to the Community Development Council for recognizing him as the Grand Patron of the International Community and World Trade Day celebration.
He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to strengthening community associations and ensuring that state policies remain community-driven and focused on improving the lives of Ogun State residents.
