The National President of the Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Owners, Repairs, and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Alhaji Shamsideen Adebayo Apelogun, also known as “Allrounder,” has praised Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for launching the electric bike (e-bike) initiative in the state.

Alhaji Apelogun expressed his support in a statement released on Monday, describing the e-bike initiative as a forward-thinking step towards modernizing transportation and enhancing the livelihood of commercial motorcycle operators in the State.

He emphasized the environmental and economic advantages, noting that the adoption of e-bikes would lower operational costs for riders and promote a quieter environment.

“We are thrilled with Governor Abiodun’s innovative approach. The introduction of electric bikes is a transformative move for our members, reducing their operational expenses and promoting a healthier environment for all,” Alhaji Apelogun stated.

He also applauded the governor for his ongoing support of the transportation sector in Ogun State, highlighting that the e-bike initiative aligns with global trends in sustainable transportation.

Alhaji Apelogun urged ACOMORAN leadership and its members in Ogun to embrace the initiative, assuring them that the association would collaborate with the state government to ensure a smooth transition to this new mode of transportation.

Governor Abiodun’s e-bike initiative is part of his administration’s broader strategy to enhance transportation infrastructure and promote environmental sustainability in Ogun State.
