#EndBadGovernanceProtest: Hoodlums Disrupt Protesters in Delta

Hoodlums have reportedly disrupted and chased peaceful protesters from the venue of the ongoing nationwide protest at Effurun Roundabout in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

The hoodlums chased the peaceful protesters with sticks, broken bottles, and other dangerous weapons as armed security operatives watched without intervening to maintain order.

Currently, there’s tension as peaceful protesters insist they must continue their demonstration.

Timeless Update correspondent reports that the peaceful protesters had arrived late for the protest, bearing placards with inscriptions such as “Too Much Hunger, Mr. President, Reduce Fuel Price,” “End Bad Governance in Nigeria,” “Reverse Subsidy Policy, Reform Nigeria,” and “Emilokan, It is Your Turn to Suffer Us, Mr. President.”

The protesters said the hunger and hardship in the country had made them lose hope in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government of Nigeria.

They urged the president to improve their welfare by reviewing the subsidy policy, reforming the country, and ending bad governance.

They were peacefully chanting solidarity songs when the counter-protesters, mainly hoodlums, appeared and chased them away.
