End Bad Government Protest: Embrace Peace, Ogun APC Urges Residents

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has called on residents to embrace peace and continue supporting the government of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu at the federal level and Prince Dapo Abiodun at the state level.

This appeal followed an emergency meeting held at the State Secretariat in Abeokuta on Tuesday.

The meeting, presided over by State Chairman Chief Yemi Sanusi, was attended by ward chairmen from the 236 wards, local government party chairmen and secretaries from the 20 local government areas, and members of the State Executive Committee of the party.

Chief Sanusi expressed his appreciation to the people of Ogun State, particularly the youth, for maintaining peace and refraining from the destruction of properties, as was the case during the #EndSARS protests. He urged the residents to continue upholding the peace and harmony for which Ogun State is known.

The chairman highlighted the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu within his 14 months in office, noting that Ogun State has significantly benefited. He announced that the federal government has approved the construction of the Ilaro-Iboro road at a cost of N57 billion.

The meeting also commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for engaging the youth in Ogun State and recognizing them as catalysts for development.

The APC expressed gratitude to the youth, who, through the National Youth Council of Nigeia and the Ogun Youth Assembly, have vowed not to join any protests in Ogun State.

The press statement was issued by Tunde Oladunjoye PHF, Publicity Secretary of Ogun APC.
