Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, the Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development in Ogun State, delivered a powerful keynote address at the recently concluded All Women Summit 2024. Organized by the Royal Ladies International, the event took place at VLB, Ajebo, and gathered a diverse group of influential women.
In her speech, Hon. Adeleye emphasized the critical need for women to step into leadership roles and actively participate in politics. She highlighted the importance of learning, unlearning, and re-learning as essential processes for personal and professional growth. Drawing inspiration from biblical heroines such as Esther, Deborah, Abigail, and Mary, she underscored the potential of women to be transformative leaders in politics and various career fields.
Hon. Adeleye also extended her gratitude to Rev. Fola Achudume for her vision and dedication in organizing the summit. She praised the event for providing a valuable platform for women to share insights, inspire one another, and strive for excellence.
“Let us continue to support and uplift each other as we journey towards a future where women’s leadership is not the exception, but the norm,” Hon. Adeleye urged, concluding her address with a call to action for continued solidarity and empowerment among women.
