In celebration of his one year in office, Hon. Igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele (popularly known as IWA), a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Abeokuta South State Constituency 2, has shared his unprecedented achievements with the public.
In his one-year message, personally signed by him, the performing lawmaker reiterated his commitment to delivering good governance by fulfilling his campaign promises and addressing people-oriented needs.
Hon. IWA used the opportunity to list his achievements, which include:
1. Facilitating the construction of four classrooms at Saint Andrew Primary School in Ward 15, Abeokuta South Local Government.
2. Ongoing construction of a broken bridge at Ijeja, damaged by erosion.
3. Provision of borehole water to the people of Ward 8 in Abeokuta South State Constituency 2.
4. Daily provision of water for his constituents from Ward 8 to Ward 15.
5. Empowerment of the youths within his constituency by organizing free skills acquisition training in tailoring, hairdressing, makeup, and barbering.
6. Cash empowerment for his constituents, including youths, aged individuals, widows, and widowers from Ward 8 to Ward 15.
7. Rehabilitation of a dilapidated bridge in Ibara, behind Oni Ibara’s palace.
8. Passing a bill for the creation of a job portal for youths who are yet to secure employment.
9. Passing bills for the creation of security for transporters.
10. Passing a bill for “Isese” Day to be recognized in Ogun State.
11. Electrification of some communities within his constituency with solar lights.
12. Providing scholarships to no fewer than 50 students of Grand Plus College of Education in Ilorin.
Among other numerous achievements, Hon. IWA also revealed his plan to award the best primary school students with fifty thousand naira each, benefiting three students per school across all schools within his constituency to support their education.
He stressed his determination to continue changing his constituency for the better.
