The father of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has died. Pa Suleimon Atanda Obasa, aged 83, a respected businessman, passed away early Tuesday morning.
This news was announced in a statement by Eromosele Ebhomele, the Chief Press Secretary to the speaker.
Known as a devoted family man and a cornerstone in his community, Baba Obasa made significant contributions in the oil, gas, and transportation sectors, owning several filling stations. He was also noted for his accomplishments in agriculture, helping many through farming projects.
A devout Muslim, Pa Obasa dedicated his life to serving Allah and humanity, providing support to the needy and vulnerable.
He leaves behind his wives, children, grandchildren, including the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The final rites for Pa Obasa will take place at 4pm in the Agege area of Lagos State, in accordance with Islamic customs.
