As the 10th National Assembly marks its 10th month since inception, it’s fitting to reflect on the performance of our distinguished Senator, Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, FNCS, representing Ogun Central Senatorial District. The legislative duties of the Senate are pivotal in shaping our nation’s future, and Senator Salisu has undoubtedly risen to the occasion, demonstrating unwavering commitment and vision.
Amidst his tenure, Senator Salisu has assumed key roles, serving as Vice Chairman of the Committee on Media and Chairman of the Committee on ICT and Cyber Security. These appointments underscore his proactive approach and dedication to addressing contemporary challenges facing our society.
A hallmark of Senator Salisu’s tenure is his legislative prowess. He has spearheaded bills that resonate with the aspirations of the common Nigerian, such as the Nigeria National Internship and Unemployment Benefits Scheme Bill SB.258: 2023. This transformative legislation aims to alleviate graduate unemployment by providing internships and monthly stipends, showcasing Senator Salisu’s deep understanding of societal needs and his proactive legislative agenda.
Moreover, Senator Salisu’s co-sponsorship of bills addressing road infrastructure challenges highlights his commitment to addressing critical issues affecting our communities.
