A Chinese man, Geng Quandong, has been sentenced to death by hanging for the murder of his Nigerian girlfriend, Ummukulsum Buhari, in Kano. Quandong, aged 47, was convicted of culpable homicide under Section 221 of the Kano State Penal Code Law.
The tragic incident occurred on September 16, 2022, when Quandong fatally stabbed the 23-year-old victim at her family residence in Janbulo quarters, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano.
