Confession of a Ritualist: How I Lured and Killed Seven Women Using a Dating App

A 32-year-old man, Adebayo Olamide Azeez, has confessed to the gruesome murders of seven women, revealing the chilling details of his method through the dating app “mychat.” Azeez, part of a ritualist gang in Ogun State specializing in money rituals, disclosed his involvement during a press briefing in Abeokuta.

Azeez’s arrest followed the apprehension of other gang members, including Moses Abidemi Awuraji, Oluwo Samuel Monday, Peter Oluwalolese, Jamiu Yusuf, Akinwunmi Ifatosin, Sheriff Agbai, and Osojieahen Alioneitouria. They were accused of killing Sulaimon Adijat for money ritual.

Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alamutu revealed that Azeez, who had been evading arrest, was captured on February 23. Azeez collaborated with Awuraji, an herbalist, to strangle the victims, whose dismembered body parts were allegedly sold for ritualistic purposes.

During interrogation, Azeez detailed his method, stating, “I got the ladies from MyChat, a hookup app. When contacted by Awuraji, I’d negotiate with the victims on the app, finalize the deal, and provide my address in Atan-Ota.” He confessed to participating in the murder of seven women, emphasizing his role as a mere facilitator in sourcing victims and collecting payment.

Alamutu assured ongoing investigations to identify other potential victims and urged those with missing relatives to report to the police for assistance.

The shocking revelations from Azeez’s confession underscore the importance of increased vigilance in online interactions. Authorities are diligently working to bring justice to the victims and dismantle the ritualist gang responsible for these horrifying crimes.
