President Bola Tinubu has announced plans to implement the Stephen Oronsaye report, aimed at creating a leaner government by merging and scrapping numerous government agencies.
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga confirmed the president’s decision, stating that after twelve years since the submission of the Oronsaye panel report and the subsequent issuance of a white paper two years later, President Tinubu and the Federal Executive Council have resolved to implement the recommendations.
“Many agencies will be scrapped and many others will be merged, paving the way for a leaner government,” Mr. Onanuga stated.
