Distinguished Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, representing the Ogun Central Senatorial District, has initiated a 10-day Digital Skills Training Programme aimed at empowering over 100 youths, professionals, and artisans across the district. The programme is designed to equip participants with essential digital skills needed to thrive in today’s technology-driven economy.
The training, organized by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), is being held at Senator Salisu’s Constituency Office. This initiative is designed to equip participants with practical digital competencies through a hybrid structure comprising five days of online learning followed by five days of hands-on physical sessions.
Participants were drawn from a diverse range of youth-focused groups and organizations, including:

Youth Media Practitioners

The training encompasses beneficiaries from six local government areas within Ogun Central: Odeda, Ifo, Ewekoro, Obafemi-Owode, Abeokuta South, and Abeokuta North.
This programme highlights Senator Salisu’s continued dedication to promoting digital inclusion, fostering youth empowerment, and supporting economic development in Ogun Central.
