Oba Adetona School of Governance Opens in Ogun, Trains Senior Civil Servants as First Cohort

The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, on Monday, represented His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, at the opening ceremony of the Strategic Leadership and Management Course for Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Parastatals in Ogun State.

 

Speaking at the event, Engr. Salako-Oyedele emphasized the state administration’s commitment to fostering a “responsive, ethical, and future-ready public service.” She noted that the training program, which is being held at the prestigious Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona School of Governance, aligns with this vision.

 

According to her, “This training demonstrates our Administration’s strong commitment to building a responsive, ethical, and future-ready public service.”

 

The Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona School of Governance, where the training is taking place, was established through the visionary leadership of Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona GCON, the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland. The institution has recently been integrated into the Nigerian Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) as its Ago-Iwoye Campus.

 

Engr. Salako-Oyedele warmly welcomed senior officers at the event and expressed her appreciation for the presence of former Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries. She acknowledged their role in strengthening public institutions through their continued support.

 

“I was delighted to welcome our senior officers and deeply appreciate the presence of former Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries, whose continued support strengthens our public institutions,” she stated.

 

The event also saw the attendance of the Head of Service of Lagos State and his team of Permanent Secretaries, further highlighting the importance of inter-state collaboration.

 

“We also warmly received the Head of Service of Lagos State and his team of Permanent Secretaries, a presence that speaks to the value of inter-state collaboration,” she remarked.

 

The training is expected to enhance the leadership and management capabilities of senior public officers in Ogun State, reinforcing the administration’s dedication to effective governance and strategic development.
