The Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, attended the graduation ceremony of a new cohort of female drivers under Lafarge Africa’s “Women on Wheels” initiative.
The initiative, held at Lafarge Cement Plc, aims to equip women with essential driving skills and promote gender inclusion in the transport and logistics sector. Speaking at the event, Hon. Adeleye commended Lafarge Africa for fostering opportunities that enable women to excel in traditionally male-dominated fields.
“This program is more than just a driving school; it is a movement breaking barriers and redefining gender roles. These phenomenal women are not just driving vehicles—they are driving change,” she said.
The initiative is part of Lafarge Africa’s broader commitment to empowering women and promoting diversity in the workforce.
