As the year 2024 draws to a close, Hon. Folasade Waliat Adeyemo (PhD), Executive Chairman of Odeda Local Government, has shared a heartfelt message of gratitude and optimism with the residents of the area. Reflecting on the year’s accomplishments and expressing hope for the future, she acknowledged the collective efforts that have propelled the administration’s success.

In her message titled “Together We Thrive: A Message of Appreciation and Hope”, Hon. Adeyemo began by thanking the Almighty for His grace and mercy. She expressed her deep gratitude to the people of Odeda for re-electing her alongside her Vice Chairman and the 10 councilors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on November 16, 2024. She described their support as “the wind beneath our wings” and pledged to uphold the trust placed in her leadership.

Hon. Adeyemo also extended her appreciation to the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the mandate to serve. She further acknowledged leaders from various sectors, including religious, traditional, and market communities, as well as youth, women, artisans, civil servants, and the less privileged, for their unwavering support and prayers throughout the year.

Reflecting on the administration’s achievements since the beginning of their second term in November, Hon. Adeyemo attributed the progress made to the grace of God and the steadfast backing of the people. She described their efforts as a “pillar of strength and motivation” and promised to build on this foundation for a brighter future.

As the New Year approaches, Hon. Adeyemo called on the people of Odeda to continue working together towards collective goals. She shared an inspiring quote from Václav Havel: “Hope is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out.”

She concluded her message by wishing everyone blessings and success in the year ahead, emphasizing her commitment to unity and progress in the community.
