In addition to Lookman’s achievement, the Nigerian Female National Team, the Super Falcons, won the award for Best Female Team of the Year. The team’s impressive displays on the international stage were instrumental in securing this accolade.
The awards continued Nigeria’s dominance as goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was named Goalkeeper of the Year (Women). Nnadozie’s exceptional performances between the posts earned her recognition as Africa’s best female shot-stopper.
