In a bid to enhance the economic prospects of Odeda Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Adeyemo Folasade, PhD, inaugurated the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) Committee on Monday, December 2, 2024. This initiative underscores her administration’s dedication to fostering economic growth and development in the region.

 

Internally Generated Revenue is a critical element of local government financing, enabling self-sustained development and reducing dependency on federal allocations. In Odeda, IGR is instrumental in funding projects, improving infrastructure, and providing essential services to residents.

 

The committee, chaired by Hon. Adigun Yaya Nasiru, Vice Chairman of Odeda Local Government, comprises seasoned professionals and key stakeholders, including:

Speaking on behalf of the committee, Hon. Nasiru praised Hon. Adeyemo’s foresight in assembling a dedicated team and pledged to uphold transparency and dedication in carrying out their mandate.
