The Lagos State Environmental Taskforce recently executed a coordinated operation against drug hotspots in Alimosho Local Government Area. The raids were conducted at Gowon Estate’s 31 Road Junction, Bless Jah Street, Adenle Crescent, Owo Omo Osho Street, and Okunola Road in Mosan-Okunola LCDA.
During the operation, 53 individuals suspected of dealing in or using illicit substances were apprehended. Various illegal drugs, including Colorado, Kanedian Loud Hemp, Tramadol capsules, and Codeine syrups, were confiscated, along with tools like weighing scales, crushers, and knives.
Officials confirmed that the arrested suspects would be prosecuted, reinforcing the state’s dedication to combating drug-related crimes.
The Lagos State Government emphasized its #ZeroToleranceLagos policy on crime and drug abuse.
