A violent clash broke out this morning between members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Keke Napep operators at Panseke garage in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Eyewitnesses report that the conflict arose due to the unions’ dissatisfaction with a police-mediated agreement concerning tricycle operations and revenue collection.
The situation quickly escalated, raising concerns about public safety.

Officials have yet to issue a formal statement on today’s clash. However, security has been reinforced at Abeokuta motor garages to prevent further violence.
