Tension arose in the Oke-Ilewo area of Abeokuta after Adeleke Adeyinka, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ward 15, was fatally attacked this afternoon in the Jide Jones area.

According to witnesses, the attackers arrived in a tinted vehicle, shot him, and later used stones to assault him until he succumbed to his injuries.

Prior to his death, Adeleke Adeyinya had affiliation with the transport union in the penseke area of Abeokuta.
