The Ogun State Bureau of Lands and Survey has implemented several initiatives that have enhanced land administration and improved the ease of doing business, significantly boosting the state’s economy and quality of life.
Speaking during an interview with journalists at her office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Special Adviser to the Governor on Lands and Survey, Mrs. Oyindamola Oyelese, emphasized that the land administration reforms under Governor Dapo Abiodun’s leadership are vital to the state’s economic transformation.
She highlighted the state government’s platform, the Ogun State Land Administration and Revenue Management System (OLARMS), which has expedited the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy (CofO). Since the inception of the current administration, over 10,000 CofOs have been issued, aligning with efforts to foster wealth creation.
Mrs. Oyelese also noted that Ogun State’s effective policies have positioned it as the preferred destination for investment and the industrial hub of Nigeria, ensuring robust land governance.
She reiterated the government’s zero tolerance for fraudulent land activities and reaffirmed its commitment to curbing land speculation for the state’s overall growth. She also advised potential land buyers to seek professional guidance before making purchases.
