After a trailblazing tenure as the first female Chairman of Odeda Local Government, Hon. Dr. Folasade Adeyemo has declared her intention to run for another term, motivated by strong support and the achievements of her administration.

Adeyemo, who completed her initial term in July 2024, has been praised for her leadership’s transformative effects across Odeda LG, which included substantial developments, empowerment initiatives for all groups, and significant infrastructure projects across the ten wards of the local government.

Expressing gratitude for the trust of the Odeda people, Adeyemo looked back on her term as a period of notable advancement and promised to continue her impactful initiatives.

Her decision to run for re-election came after thorough consultations with local community members and stakeholders.

During her consultation tour of all ten wards—Odeda, Itesi, Olodo, Alagbagba, Ilugun, Osiele, Obantoko, Alabata, Obete, and Opeji—Adeyemo emphasized the success of her “HER GBAYI MANTRA,” a development-driven agenda that has led to widespread improvements in the local government.

She thanked supporters for their backing and reiterated her commitment to completing the programs she started.

“The groundwork we established in my first term is solid, and I am dedicated to ensuring our initiatives reach fruition,” Adeyemo stated, highlighting her dedication to ongoing progress in Odeda LG.

As she officially announced her candidacy, Adeyemo called on community leaders and stakeholders for their support and blessings ahead of the upcoming party screening and primaries.

The response has been very positive, with many pledging their support and praising her transparent and effective leadership during her first term.

Adeyemo’s bid for re-election is poised to be a pivotal moment for Odeda LG, as she continues to advocate for development and empowerment in the community.
