Ramadan Message: Presidential Aide Rinsola Abiola Calls for Compassion and Prayers for a Stronger Nigeria

As Muslims across Nigeria and the world usher in the holy month of Ramadan 1446 AH, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Citizenship and Leadership, Rinsola Abiola, has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim faithful, emphasizing the importance of spiritual reflection, unity, and prayers for the nation.

In a message marking the beginning of Ramadan, Abiola said, “Ramadan is a special period for spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and devotion to Almighty Allah.”

She further stressed the importance of reconnecting with the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during the holy month, particularly for the nation’s youth. According to her, “I want to especially reach out to our vibrant youth, who play such a vital role in shaping the future of our nation. This sacred month offers an opportunity for us all to reconnect with the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) — teachings of love, kindness, patience, and generosity.”

Abiola called on all Nigerians to approach the month not only through fasting but also by embodying compassion, selflessness, and care for others. She said, “I encourage everyone to keep the month holy, not just by observing the fast, but by living out these values in our daily interactions. Let us be mindful of our words and actions, show compassion to those in need, and strengthen the bonds of unity in our various communities.”

Highlighting the need for prayers for national progress, Abiola urged all Muslims to include Nigeria in their supplications. “As we seek Allah’s forgiveness and blessings, I urge us all to remember our dear country in our prayers. Let us pray for peace, progress, and prosperity for Nigeria,” she stated.

She also called for prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking Allah to bless him with the wisdom, strength, and good health required to lead the nation effectively. “Let us also pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), that Allah grants him the wisdom, strength, and good health to continue steering our nation towards greater heights,” Abiola added.

Reflecting on some of the nation’s recent developments, Abiola noted, “In recent times, we have seen gains in the value of the Naira, a significant reduction in food prices, and improved security across the country. With faith and commitment, we can all contribute to building a stronger, more united Nigeria. Our continuous prayers can also bring us closer to the Nigeria of our dreams.”

Concluding her message, she prayed for a blessed and spiritually rewarding Ramadan for all, saying, “May this Ramadan bring us all closer to Allah and to one another. May Almighty Allah grant us ease and accept our good deeds as acts of Ibadah. Aamin.”
