A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Hon. Chief Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin has strongly condemned the recent attack on members of the All Progressives Congress in Ila Local Government Area of Osun State.

He stated this in a statement issued and personally signed by him in Ila-Orangun on Wednesday.

He described the attack carried out by suspected PDP thugs who were protesting the outcome of the Appeal Court judgement that reinstate the sacked local government chairmen in Osun State as a senseless and vicious one.

“I strongly condemn the vicious attack on APC members at our party Chairman’s house in Ila-Orangun. This senseless act of violence, allegedly carried out by suspected PDP thugs, is a clear attempt to undermine our democratic institutions and intimidate our members.

The Appeal Court judgement reinstating the sacked local government chairmen in Osun State is a victory for democracy and the rule of law. It is unacceptable that the PDP would resort to violence and thuggery in response to a lawful judicial decision.

I urge the authorities to take immediate action to bring the perpetrators of this heinous attack to justice. We will not be intimidated or deterred from exercising our democratic rights” he said.

He called on all APC members to remain calm and peaceful, even in the face of this provocation. We will continue to uphold the principles of democracy, justice, and the rule of law.
