Olamide Lawal, the Special Assistant to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Youth Development, has celebrated five years of service in his role, describing it as a “transformative experience.” In a statement titled “Five Years of Transformation: A Rare Privilege to Serve as SA Youth Development to Governor Dapo Abiodun,” Lawal expressed gratitude to the governor for the opportunity to serve and outlined the progress made under his tenure.
Reflecting on his journey, Lawal stated, “Today marks a significant milestone in my career as a youth development advocate. It’s been five years since I was appointed as the SA to the Ogun State Governor on Youth Development. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity, and I must say, it has been a truly transformative experience.”
He highlighted the responsibility that comes with the role, adding that Governor Abiodun’s confidence in his abilities has been a constant source of motivation. “The governor’s confidence in me has been a constant source of motivation, and I’m proud to say that we’ve made significant strides in representing and protecting the interests of Ogun State’s youth,” Lawal noted.
During his tenure, Lawal emphasized the importance of collaboration and partnerships, stating that these efforts have enabled impactful platforms addressing the unique needs of Ogun State’s youth. He said, “By working closely with stakeholders, including community leaders, NGOs, and private sector organizations, we’ve been able to create impactful platforms that address the unique needs of Ogun State’s youth.”
Lawal acknowledged the role his position has played in sharpening his leadership skills and broadening his perspective on youth development. He also expressed optimism for the future, saying, “As I look to the future, I’m excited to continue building on the progress we’ve made so far. I’m committed to ensuring that Ogun State’s youth have access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.”
