Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, is grieving the loss of his mother, Alhaja Monsurat Bankole, who passed away early Friday following a brief illness.

The news of her passing comes shortly after the death of Princess Khadijah Adebisi Edionseri, popularly known as ‘Cash Madam,’ a well-known socialite.

Although details surrounding Alhaja Bankole’s passing remain limited, a close associate of Dimeji Bankole and Ogun State Television journalist, Hakeem Akintunde, shared the news via his Facebook page.

Dimeji Bankole, who was the 11th Speaker of the House of Representatives, has experienced personal tragedies before, including the loss of his seven-year-old daughter, Yewande Semiat, to sickle cell disease in 2014.
