The extravagant lifestyle of a self-proclaimed “Young Billionaire” has come to an end as he was sentenced to two years in prison in Abuja.
The convict, Chima Hyginus Nkwocha, also known as “Young Billionaire,” was found guilty of impersonation and money laundering.
In a statement, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) confirmed that Nkwocha was sentenced on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
The EFCC disclosed that Nkwocha was arraigned before Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Maitama, Abuja, on a two-count charge of impersonation and money laundering.
The defendant pleaded guilty to both charges upon arraignment.
Following his plea, the prosecution counsel, Lanre Adeola Olariwaju, presented the case against Nkwocha and urged the court to deliver a conviction accordingly.
