Ogun Allocates Homes to 50 More Subscribers in Kobape Estate

The Ogun State Government has allocated two- and three-bedroom bungalows to 50 additional subscribers in the Prince Court Estate, Kobape Phase 3.

According to a statement signed on Tuesday by the Commissioner for Housing, Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, the allocation fulfills the ministry’s promise to address shortfalls in housing unit allocations from Phase 2 of the scheme.

He clarified that the newly allocated homes prioritize subscribers who were unable to secure any of the 100 units distributed earlier in the year.

Omoniyi further assured that the remaining subscribers will receive their homes in the first quarter of 2025 within the eco-friendly Phase 3 of the Prince Court Estate Kobape Scheme. He added that Phase 4 would also be unveiled due to the growing demand for affordable housing in the area.

The Commissioner also stated that the new subscribers would be required to pay ₦3.5 million as “a fair and subsidized contribution” for the provision of infrastructure within the estate, similar to previous allocations.

The payment, he noted, must be completed by the allottees within 60 days of allocation to obtain final allocation letters from the Ministry of Housing.

Failure to comply with this condition, he warned, would render the allocation invalid and subject to withdrawal.

Reaffirming the ministry’s dedication to advancing the housing policy of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration, Omoniyi highlighted upcoming housing schemes, including the Gateway Aviation Village in Iperu-Remo, GRA Regeneration Scheme in Abeokuta, Ijebu Ode, Ilaro, and PMB Estate, all set for commissioning in the new year.
