Governor Hope Uzodimma, during the presentation of two buses, emphasized the importance of providing adequate support to the state’s male and female football teams to help them achieve greater success and make Imo State proud.

Speaking at the event held in Owerri, the state capital, Governor Uzodimma encouraged the players, coaches, and management teams to remain dedicated, focused, and resilient in all competitions they participate in.

Explaining the rationale behind the donation, the governor told a Channels TV correspondent that the buses were provided to facilitate the smooth movement of the footballers and management teams.

According to Uzodimma, the new buses will resolve the frequent logistical challenges faced by Heartland FC and Heartland Queens, ultimately improving their overall performance.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting sports in the state, pledging continued assistance to enhance the development of athletics and football in Imo.
