Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commissioned the Babafemi Dada Bridge alongside the Yinka Folarin, Jamiu Lawal, and Shalom Academy road networks in Alimosho Local Government Area, underscoring his administration’s commitment to sustainable development through infrastructure.
The project, comprising a bridge and four interconnected roads, is designed to enhance mobility within the Igando-Ayobo community and nearby settlements. Equipped with solar-powered streetlights, the roads provide safe and accessible routes for motorists and pedestrians, reducing travel times and expenses.
Speaking at the commissioning, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the infrastructure’s role in boosting local economies and fostering long-term growth. “This project is a testament to our vision of sustainable development. By improving residents’ quality of life and enhancing productivity, we are laying the foundation for sustained progress in Lagos State,” he said.
The governor also called on residents to take ownership of the project, urging them to use and maintain the infrastructure responsibly. “Every Lagos resident is a partner in our state-building journey. We appreciate your cooperation and feedback on this and other initiatives,” he added.
The new infrastructure is expected to ease transportation challenges, promote economic activities, and further integrate the Igando-Ayobo axis into the state’s development agenda.
