Alleged Ex-Eiye Leader “Ola Poly” and Girlfriend Killed by Unknown Gunmen in Abeokuta

In a tragic incident, a former leader of the Eiye confraternity, Adewale Olanifemi, popularly known as “Ola Poly,” was killed last night by members of the Buccaneers cult group in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The attack occurred at Ibara Housing Estate while he was returning from a night out with his girlfriend.

Ola Poly, who recently graduated from DS Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic and handed over leadership of the Eiye group, was reportedly targeted in retaliation for the killing of a Buccaneers member, Leke, an APC politician, on October 12.

Despite rumors, sources confirmed that Ola was not with his wife but his girlfriend at the time of the incident. Ola, who is married with two children, had gone to a new club in Onikoko called Erik*** using a friend’s Benz instead of his own car.

According to insider reports, the girlfriend may have identified one of the attackers, prompting them to shoot her. Other accounts suggest Ola was shot while inside the vehicle, and stray bullets fatally wounded his girlfriend.

Both victims were declared dead at the scene, and their bodies have been transported to the mortuary.
