Nigerian internet sensation and convicted fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi, is trending again after delivering an exclusive life message to Nigerian youths from prison. His advice came via a voice note interlude featured in Phyno’s new song, “Nwoke Esike.”
In the interlude, Hushpuppi shared insights on life, urging young people not to fall into the trap of seeking approval from others. He stated, “Many people have gone astray just because they want to do ‘unboxing’. Don’t try to please pedestrians on the street, they are always moving. Life is not a competition, everyone has a different race and there is no finish line in this life, timing is different. When your own time comes, they will clap for you too.”
He went on to encourage hard work and patience, adding, “Work hard, focus, life is too short. I know say all una don miss me. I miss una too. I know say e no easy. I know say everybody Dey find Wetin go them go chop. But no find Wetin go chop you.”
The heartfelt message has resonated with many Nigerian youths, flooding social media with reactions. Despite his criminal past, Hushpuppi’s words have struck a chord, sparking conversations around life choices and personal growth.
Ramon Abbas is currently serving an 11-year sentence in the United States for his involvement in large-scale cyber fraud.
