Motorcycle Union Denies Allegations of Fake Ticket Sales in Lagos

The Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN) has firmly dismissed allegations that it distributes counterfeit tickets to commercial motorcyclists in Lagos.

In a statement from Abuja, National President Alhaji Rasak Olusola Sotayo called the accusations false and aimed at damaging the union’s standing.

Sotayo assured the public that MOUN operates within legal boundaries, with full recognition from the Lagos government and registration under the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

He emphasized the union’s commitment to transparency and ethical practices.

Sotayo clarified that the tickets are legitimate, sourced from the national office in Abuja, and verified by the National Treasurer.

“The claims are unfounded and intended to harm our reputation. I urge the public to ignore these rumors and ensure they purchase tickets only from authorized MOUN agents,” Sotayo stated.

“The tickets currently being sold, particularly in Lagos, are genuine and come directly from MOUN’s national office in Abuja.”

“The allegations aim to tarnish the union’s image. We do not sell fake tickets, and I encourage the public to avoid buying such.”

He further cautioned those spreading false claims about MOUN’s activities in Lagos and other states to cease immediately.
