The Ogun State Police Command, through a post on its official X account, has released an updated directory of divisional police officers and their supervising area commanders.
This move, directed by Commissioner of Police CP Alamutu Abiodun Mustapha, aims to enhance communication between the public and police officers, particularly as the end of the year approaches and crime rates tend to rise.
In the statement, the Command urged members of the public to utilize the provided contacts to engage with officers and share relevant information. The police emphasized that this proactive step would help in curtailing criminal activities and improving security across the state.
“Parents are also advised to simulate security talks in their homes and discuss the importance of knowing police phone numbers to report the slightest suspicious activity in their location,” the statement read, stressing the need for vigilance and community collaboration in crime prevention.
The Ogun State Police Command reassured citizens of its commitment to maintaining peace and order, urging them to stay alert and report any suspicious behavior through the newly provided contact mediums.
