Traders Group Cites Philanthropy, Development Drive Ahead of November 16 Polls
The Dapo Abiodun Traders Association (DATA), Abeokuta chapter, has endorsed Hon. Sunday Oluwagbemiga Akamo as their chosen candidate for the Abeokuta South Local Government chairmanship ahead of the November 16 local government elections.
Hon. Mojeed Adegunle, Chairman of DATA, Ogun State, made the announcement during a gathering in Arinlese, Ward 4, lauding Akamo’s outstanding philanthropic contributions and support for the people of Abeokuta South.
“Hon. Akamo has repeatedly shown his dedication to the welfare of traders and the less fortunate, even without holding any political office,” Adegunle noted.
“His track record of philanthropy makes him the ideal choice for this position.”
Adegunle stressed that the endorsement reflects the best interests of Abeokuta South’s residents and traders, adding that Akamo’s leadership would help advance the democratic benefits in the area.
Members of the association also commended Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun’s achievements and expressed confidence that Akamo’s leadership would enhance the governor’s efforts.
Hon. Akamo expressed his gratitude for the endorsement, pledging to continue driving the progress and growth of Abeokuta South Local Government.
“I am overjoyed by this gesture. I assure you I will not disappoint if elected,” Akamo declared.
The endorsement is regarded as a major boost to Akamo’s candidacy ahead of the November 16 elections.
