In a statement made available to Timeless Update, Hon. Oluwaseun Adebowale, popularly known as Matico, extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the groundbreaking ceremony and official flag-off of the Abeokuta/Ota/Lagos Highway project. The event took place on Friday, 23rd August 2024.

Adebowale, the founder of Matico Sport Foundation and a grassroots politician who contested in the last general elections for the Ogun State House of Assembly under the APC, praised the governor for his decision to undertake the reconstruction of this vital road, which, although a federal project, has been prioritized by the state government.

In his statement, Adebowale highlighted the economic benefits the reconstruction would bring to Ogun State. “The reconstruction of this road will enhance commercial activities along these corridors, stimulate the economy of Ogun State, and provide relief to commuters and residents living in the area,” he noted.

He further expressed his appreciation for Governor Abiodun’s dedication to positive development in Ogun State. “Your commitment to positive thinking is evident in your decision to undertake this project, even though it is a federal road. I sincerely thank you, Your Excellency, for this remarkable initiative,” Adebowale said.

As he looks forward to continued progress in the state, Adebowale concluded his statement with a prayer for ongoing peace and development in Ogun State, expressing optimism for more significant accomplishments during Governor Abiodun’s second term.
