Cole Palmer has signed a two-year contract extension with Chelsea, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2033.
Palmer, who netted 27 goals in 48 matches across all competitions last season, joined from Manchester City last September in a reported £42.5 million transfer.
He scored 22 Premier League goals in his debut season with the Blues, helping them secure European football, with Palmer excelling particularly in penalty situations.
Palmer converted all nine of his penalties last season, exceeding his expected goals (xG) tally of 18.18 by 3.82 by the end of the season.
The 22-year-old also played a crucial role in England’s journey to the Euro 2024 final, scoring the equaliser against Spain after coming off the bench.
“I’m thrilled to extend my stay,” Palmer said. “I had a fantastic first season here, and I’m looking forward to continuing to contribute to the success and silverware at Chelsea.”
Despite the arrival of nine new players at Stamford Bridge, including the latest signing Pedro Neto, Palmer’s spot in the team appears secure following last season’s impressive performances.
Chelsea will kick off their Premier League season this weekend against Manchester City, Palmer’s former club and the defending champions.
