President Biden and Obama React to Shooting at Trump Rally

President Joe Biden expressed his relief and concern following a shooting incident at former President Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. In a statement released on his official X account, President Biden shared that he had been briefed on the situation and was thankful to hear that Trump was safe and doing well.

“I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information,” Biden tweeted.

The President also extended his appreciation to the Secret Service for their swift action in ensuring Trump’s safety. “Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety,” he added.

Condemning the act of violence, Biden emphasized the need for unity and the importance of standing together against such incidents. “There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it,” he stated.

Former President Barack Obama also weighed in on the incident, emphasizing the need for civility in politics. “There is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy. Although we don’t yet know exactly what happened, we should all be relieved that former President Trump wasn’t seriously hurt, and use this moment to recommit ourselves to civility and respect in our politics. Michelle and I are wishing him a quick recovery,” Obama said.

As the investigation continues, more details about the shooting are expected to emerge. Timeless Update will provide ongoing coverage and updates as they become available.
