In a bid to boost public awareness and stakeholder engagement, Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, the Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ogun State, led a delegation to Ijebu Ode and its environs.

The initiative aimed to educate the public on the benefits of the OGUN GIRLS TVET (Technical and Vocational Education Training) Scholarship scheme, which targets 1,000 girls across all Government Science and Technical Colleges in Ogun State.

The campaign, supported by the Ogun State Economic Transformation Project (World Bank Sponsored), saw participation from officials of the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and the State Technical and Vocational Education Board.

The team engaged with parents, market women, traditional rulers, and other key stakeholders to promote the scholarship at the grassroots level.

Hon. Adeleye emphasized the importance of the program in empowering young girls to become technically proficient, thereby contributing to the nation’s technical advancement.

The initiative is expected to inspire many young girls in Ogun State to take advantage of this opportunity and shape their futures positively.
