The accomplished spouse of the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, popularly known as Penkelemesi, Chief (Mrs) Oluseyi Adelabu reached the age of 50 on Friday, 31st May, 2024.

 

The milestone was marked with widespread celebrations and heartfelt messages, as well as numerous social media posts.

 

Mrs. Adelabu’s birthday was celebrated with warm wishes and prayers across various platforms. Indeed, she has numerous reasons to be grateful. Reaching the age of 50 is no small feat. She is a devoted wife and a nurturing mother to her four children: three sons and a daughter.

 

Her steadfastness in her over 30-year marriage has been exemplary, with her children excelling academically and her husband’s business ventures and political career flourishing.

 

In the midst of her golden jubilee celebrations, Mrs. Adelabu shared some startling revelations about her marriage in a thanksgiving message. She disclosed that divine intervention played a crucial role in saving her marriage of over 30 years from collapse.

 

She revealed that a severe crisis almost tore her family apart, causing her and her husband to live separately for over a year. Mrs. Adelabu learned a hard lesson from her husband’s political associates who manipulated her against him while simultaneously feeding him different stories.

 

Chief (Mrs) Seyi Adelabu added that her husband’s entry into politics nearly destroyed their marriage due to her innocence and trusting nature.

 

“We got married when I was 21 years old and he was 24 years old, and God blessed us with four beautiful children—three boys and a girl. Our union has been filled with unprecedented blessings. I grew up under his guidance and have never regretted it.”

 

Her husband’s political adversaries and their agents, posing as friends, attempted to turn her against him by spreading falsehoods and providing misleading advice to disrupt his focus.

 

They exploited his busy schedule filled with political commitments to spread rumors that he had abandoned her for younger women.

 

Due to her naivety and trust, she almost believed these rumors, wrongfully accusing her husband multiple times. She misinterpreted his lack of attention during the hectic political campaign as validation of these insinuations.

 

Some of these detractors even recorded her angry complaints and shared them with her husband and on social media to tarnish his reputation. They nearly turned her against his family, who they claimed were ignoring her concerns and siding with her husband.

 

Mrs. Adelabu expressed gratitude to God for giving her a mature and understanding husband who eventually corrected his ways after the election, explaining that his distraction was due to the demands of the campaign. She realized that her husband’s commitment to serving the people required his full attention.

 

Surprisingly, some of the culprits were close friends and family members, who, despite their actions, pretended to celebrate with them.

 

Their primary intention, beyond jealousy of his career success, was to destabilize his home and derail his political ambitions. However, with divine intervention, their plan was foiled, and her eyes were opened. Trust and love ultimately prevailed, and the couple reconciled without third-party interference.

 

Mrs. Adelabu advised young couples to remain prayerful and patient with each other, allowing true love to flourish in their marriage. She reflected on her journey, expressing gratitude and love for her husband.
