Finidi George has disclosed his reasons for resigning as head coach of the Super Eagles.
The 53-year-old submitted his resignation to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Saturday.
This follows a statement from the NFF days earlier about plans to hire a foreign technical adviser to work with Finidi.
In a social media video, former Eagles media officer Colin Udoh confirmed he spoke with Finidi after his resignation.
“Finidi confirmed to me that he indeed resigned,” Udoh said.
“He met with the NFF on Thursday for a productive conversation.
“They discussed future plans, and he inquired about his return.
“No one mentioned appointing a foreign technical adviser during the meeting.
“The NFF board had decided on this on Wednesday. Finidi only learned about it after arriving in Port Harcourt when someone called him. He had to stop his car to read the news.
“He waited two days for communication from the NFF, but no one contacted him. Feeling unwanted, he decided to resign.”
