President Tinubu to Launch Numerous Infrastructure Projects Across Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on a series of inaugurations and groundbreakings for significant infrastructure projects nationwide.

The initiatives, part of the “Renewed Hope” agenda, span multiple sectors and regions, showcasing the government’s commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s infrastructure.

 

Sunday, 26th May 2024

In Lagos, President Tinubu will commission the newly concrete-paved Apapa and Tincan Island Port roads. These improvements are expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and improve logistics at one of Africa’s busiest ports. Additionally, the iconic Third Mainland Bridge, a critical artery in Lagos, will see further enhancements.

Nationally, 330 rehabilitated roads and bridges across the country will be inaugurated, ensuring better connectivity and safer travel for Nigerians. The president will also kick off the construction of the ambitious 700km Lagos-Calabar Superhighway, a major project aimed at boosting regional trade and mobility.

In Abuja, President Tinubu will unveil the Bola Tinubu Southern Parkway. This major thoroughfare is anticipated to alleviate traffic in the capital and improve overall urban infrastructure.

Wednesday, 29th May 2024

A series of key projects in the capital will be commissioned, including the National Assembly Library Complex and the relaunch of the commercialization of the Abuja Light Rail. The Wuye flyover link bridge, aimed at reducing traffic bottlenecks, and the new Defence Intelligence Agency Headquarters will also be inaugurated.

The week concludes with the inauguration of the NASENI-Portland CNG Reverse Engineering Center in Utako. This facility is expected to spearhead innovations in compressed natural gas technology and engineering.

 

Today, President Tinubu arrived at the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway site to officially flag off the construction of this transformative project, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria’s infrastructure development.
