A 33-year-old leader of a ritualist gang, Ademola Akinlosotu, said he moved from killing people to harvesting parts because clients requested fresh parts and not dried ones. He made this confession while speaking to a newsman when he was paraded by the Lagos State Police after his arrest.
According to what Ademola Akinlosotu said in the report by Vanguard News, “I got the human parts from dead bodies buried at the cemetery before I graduated to killing—a job I had been doing for years. I moved to killing people to harvest parts because my clients requested fresh parts and not dead body parts. While I and some members of the gang would do the killings, I supplied the parts.”
The Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest of the ritualist gang. Ademola Akinlosotu, along with the community chief, an Ifa priest, an Osun priestess, an Islamic cleric, and a trado-medicine practitioner, were arrested.
