Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, spouse of Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has been crowned the African Iconic Woman of the Year 2024.

She earned 2,228 votes, representing 31% of the total votes cast, surpassing other contenders.

The online voting, which lasted several weeks, has concluded, and the results have been collated.

Bamidele Abiodun has clinched the prestigious African Iconic Women Recognition Awards (AIWRA) 2024 as the African Iconic Woman of the year.

Speaking to reporters after the announcement of the preliminary results in Abuja, the Project Director of FDN, Alexander Ajagbonna, also known as Fajag, expressed appreciation for the efforts of all nominees, stating that they are all deserving.

He noted that all nominees worked diligently to rally their supporters for the online voting process.

The winners will be honored on May 23 at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
