Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has pointed out that Anambra’s lack of progress is linked to its continuous election of governors from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Ganduje, a former governor of Kano, expressed his belief that the state would benefit from joining the APC during a colloquium organized by the Southeast chapter of APC in Nnewi.
He emphasized that Anambra needs to move away from APGA to see significant political development.
Ganduje stated, “Anambra’s persistent adherence to APGA has hindered its progress for 25 years. Joining the ruling party would provide better opportunities for the state’s growth and development.
“The refusal to align with the mainstream has deprived Anambra of essential infrastructure and other benefits. It’s crucial for the state to be part of the decision-making process at the national level to secure its interests.”
He urged Anambra to reconsider its political stance and embrace the opportunities that come with being part of a larger political platform.
