Governor Uzodinma Appoints Brother as Deputy Chief of Staff

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has appointed his brother, Ferdinand Uzodinma, as Deputy Chief of Staff, General Services, and Cosmos Iwu as Secretary to the State Government, among other appointments.

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to the Governor, Oguwike Nwachukwu, it was revealed that Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, the former Chief of Staff, has been reappointed.

Additionally, Dr. Patrick Ekeji and Barr. Olisaemeka Sydney have been reappointed as Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration, and Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, respectively.

The statement further announced Mr. Sam Anyalewechi Nwaobasi’s confirmation as Special Adviser to the Governor on Programme and Policy Implementation Monitoring.

Ferdinand Uzodinma previously served as a councilor, Transition Committee Chairman, and Sole Administrator of Oru East Local Government Area in the State.

The appointments are effective immediately, according to Oguwike.

These appointments come after the House of Assembly confirmed 12 commissioners for the governor, although portfolios are yet to be assigned since their confirmation two weeks ago. Governor Uzodinma began his second term after being sworn in on January 14.
