OGPAM Returns as Iyeru Appreciates Governor’s Intervention

The turbulence that has plagued the transport unions in Ogun State has finally subsided, marking a significant turn of events in the ongoing saga.

Following a tumultuous period, Alhaji Akeem Bodunrin Iyeru, Chairman of Park Management Services Limited (PAM), made a public announcement earlier today, expressing gratitude for the intervention of the state government led by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR CON.

In a press conference, Alhaji Iyeru acknowledged the pivotal role played by Governor Abiodun in resolving the conflict that had threatened the peace within the transport sector. He affirmed the governor’s commitment to upholding fairness and ensuring that all parties involved are treated equitably.

The resolution reinstates the agreement that allows the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), and Park Management Services Limited (PAM) to operate on a rotational basis, alternating weekly. This decision, endorsed by the governor, signifies a return to normalcy within the transport unions.

Alhaji Iyeru emphasized the restoration of peace and urged all stakeholders to uphold the status quo. He reassured the public that Park Management Services Limited is resuming operations across various parks in the state, urging patience as the organization navigates through the aftermath of the recent tensions.

Expressing his appreciation, Iyeru extended gratitude to Governor Abiodun for his swift intervention and decisive action in addressing the issue. He also acknowledged the efforts of party leaders in facilitating a speedy resolution.

Furthermore, Alhaji Iyeru thanked his loyal supporters for their unwavering commitment during the challenging period and urged unity moving forward.

He advised those who had switched allegiance to remain in their current affiliations, emphasizing the importance of stability and cooperation within the transport sector.
