Evans Kosgei, a security guard, was discovered deceased in Kiambu County. Kosgei’s body was found in Thika, with authorities suspecting suicide by poisoning.

The tragic incident unfolded after Kosgei’s wife, Jackline Kimaiyo, a teacher in Mathira East, allegedly ended their relationship.

Kosgei had supported Kimaiyo’s education up to university level, even selling possessions to pay for her school fees at Murang’a University.

Prior to his death, Kosgei aired grievances on social media, expressing despair over his wife’s reported plans to leave him despite his sacrifices.
